Conditioning of the Heart - cont'd

Do we have any understanding of the God designed potential that exists within us, totally unrealized and undeveloped? [Job 4: 20-21], “They are destroyed from morning to evening: they perish forever without any regarding it. Doth not their excellency which is in them go away? They die, even without wisdom”.

[Romans 11:33], “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out”! This does not in any way imply that we are at a loss to learn as much as we can about Him in our short life span. There are may scriptures that offer us challenges to do exactly that, while a direct command to do so is given in [2 Timothy 2: 15], “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”. Again a direct command in [Matthew 11:28], “Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly of heart: and ye shall find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light”.

I am not implying that we can know all there is to know about God; but our ignorance of what he wants us to know and apply, as well of what we should know and apply is our own fault. Neglect of God’s word is devastating to all. If a person will persevere to develop a vision of the value of studying, learning, and applying a thorough knowledge of God, his only begotten Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, that person will see wonders beyond his imagination. He does not withhold any knowledge from us that we wish to explore and learn. But there is no doubt that his greatness and abilities are way beyond what we can learn about and accumulate in our lifetime; but we can, during the time that we have, learn and apply that which is essential for his glory, honor, and pleasure, as well as our own well being and prosperity of being, [Acts 17: 28], “For in him we live and move and have our being; for certain of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring”. [3 John: 2], “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”.
